The New Homes Plan’ is a short documentary about the proposal to redevelop the redundant Fawley Power Station, into the UK’s first smart city. The film follows two residents who’s families have lived in the areas for generations; Aldred, the local estate owner and developer, and Nigel a retired bricklayer who lives off the land. Taking place in the lead up to the decision to grant the planning of the new city and shot, the film explores the implication of change on the local residents and the areas changing identity.
