After 400 years as a male-only Alms-house, Charterhouse is opening its doors to female residents for the first time. The documentary is a portrait of the residents at a pivotal moment in its history. While the new residents navigate the eccentric characters and traditions of the historic alms-house, others reflect on life, community and what comes next.
